My name is Kay Kohler, Treasurer of
the RCGVS Board. I have lived in
Green Valley almost five years, moving
here right after I retired after 25 years
as an OB/GYN in Wyoming. I have been
a Republican almost all of my life, and
admire the principles of Conservatism
that the Republican Party espouses. Until
moving here I was never politically active,
except to vote in every election, but
the current situation in our country has
inspired me to do all I can to return our
country to its previous prestige and glory.
I am involved in the Tea Party and want to
restore our USA to the hands of the
Conservatives.

I was
brought up in the Chicago area. College took me to Wisconsin and
then Colorado. For the majority of my career, I owned a
manufacturer' rep agency specializing in industrial safety. During
this period of time, I lived in Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico.
In 2007,
I sold my business and my wife and I moved to Green Valley. I am
again active in the safety industry and my wife works for a local
property management company.
I must
credit President Reagan with sharpening my interest in politics.
During the Bush Cheney years, I was very active in politics at the
national level. I was a marshal for their campaign. The National
Republican Congressional Committee presented me with multiple
"Businessman of the Year" awards. In 2004 The Republican National
Committee named me a life member.
It has been very enjoyable
working with the members of RCGVS. We certainly have important work
to do in the future and I look forward to it.

I voted Republican when I was 18 years old during the
Carter years and have remained a conservative since then. . My
immediate family was Republican, but my grandparents were Democrats.
The arguments about politics were as expected. As a registered
nurse, I have had many opportunities to display my leadership
ability. I will be the Treasurer for RCGVS for 2011.

Moved to Sahuarita from Southern California in 2007. Married 30
yrs, 5 children. Stay at home Dad, somewhat active in
California. I was happy to learn of all the great State
Representatives and Senators we have in Arizona. I am able to
take pride in this State something I was missing in California I
commit to working hard for conservative causes. I am not a
turncoat. I have always been a dyed in the wool constitutional
conservative. I am now proud to say I am from Arizona.

I moved from Virginia and became
an empty nester leaving my three grown children behind. I decided to
get involved in my community. A friend acquainted me with
several Republican clubs in the area. I have been active for six
years. A Precinct Committeeman for four years. My husband
retired from Raytheon and has now joined me by being a Precinct
Committeeman. I have been very active with the AZ Federation
of Republican Women for six years as their webmaster. I have
been RCGVS webmaster for a year. I have been a photographer
for your club for several events, such as when your Republican
office was established and the ribbon cutting ceremony - two
different times. I have a small business that is focused on
Webpage Maintenance and Computer Training. I feel like we all
need to be involved with politics, what is happening with our
community, state and government. Each one of us make a
difference so make a commitment and get involved!

My career took me to several locations in the US
including suburban New York City, Minneapolis, Boston, Boise and
suburban Washington, DC. When retirement approached we chose Green
Valley, bought a lot, built a house and took up residence in 2006. I
spent over forty years in the heavy civil engineering and
construction industry; fifteen of those years as CEO. As a
businessman at the helm of both private and publically traded (NYSE)
companies I observed greater good for the country as a whole
emanated from Republican policies and strong leadership seemed
always to be from Republicans. I am a lifelong Republican – never
particularly active other than to vote in all elections. As this
point in my life I have time to get involved and do so through this
board of the RCGVS.

Emeritus Board Member
Ruth
Lund
I was first elected a precinct committeewoman in 1946
in Wheaton, IL. I served as V-President and Chairwoman and Vice
Chairman of clubs I have been affiliated with. I ran for State
Committeewomen in the 80’s, won and served three terms.
My husband and I moved to Green
Valley in the 80’s,and were active in the Republican Party. I served
as a Precinct committee women until two years ago.
Indeed, it has been a privilege
to serve through the years. If it weren’t for my age (94), I would
continue to serve as a precinct committee person. My position on the
RCGVS board meets my political needs. |

I am what would be referred to as a
"political junkie" and I love it! Since moving to Green Valley from
a very Republican controlled county in Texas, I found my familiar
niche. I have been affiliated with Republican clubs with each and
every transfer my family has made. Oil company!
I have had the honor of being the President of the women's club in
Green Valley (SPARCL) and am now serving my second term with what is
now known as the Republican Club GreenValley-Sahuarita RCGVS.

Billie Morton -

I was a Kansas resident
before we decided we were tired of shoveling snow and scrapping
windshields in the winter. We have now been Arizona residents
for ten years. I attended KS University on a music scholarship
and Central Business College in Denver. Most of my working years
were in accounting and data input. I got bored after retirement
so I went back to work - in what I considered the most enjoyable
work - in a wholesale/retail greenhouse. I had never been active
in politics until after the last presidential election. I then
decided it was time to learn about what is politically going on
in this country. I have a lot to learn!
